1. Introduction
Project Wilbur (“Project Wilbur,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates as a private capital advisory practice serving founders, family offices, and institutional allocators on a by-referral basis. Our principal place of business is 11035 Lavender Hill Dr, Suite 160, Las Vegas, NV 89135.
This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect through our website at projectwilbur.com, through email correspondence directed at the firm, and through the scheduling and intake tools we use during preliminary engagement conversations. It does not govern information shared with us under a separate executed engagement letter, which is governed by the confidentiality terms of that engagement.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide
When you submit a contact form or write to us, we receive the information you choose to provide. This typically includes your name, email address, company or firm name, role, and the contents of your message. If you book an introductory call we also receive scheduling metadata such as preferred times and time zone.
Automatically collected information
Our hosting infrastructure produces server logs in the ordinary course of operation. These logs may include your IP address, the user agent reported by your browser, the referring URL, the URL you requested, and the date and time of the request. We use these logs for security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention.
Cookies and similar technologies
The website uses a small number of first-party cookies that are strictly necessary for site function, such as remembering your light or dark theme preference. We do not run third-party advertising trackers, behavioral analytics, or social-media pixels on this site.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To respond to inquiries and to follow up on referrals.
- To evaluate whether a prospective engagement fits our practice.
- To schedule meetings and exchange materials in the lead-up to an engagement.
- To satisfy know-your-customer, anti-money-laundering, and source-of-funds review obligations that may apply to onboarding a prospective client.
- To operate, maintain, and secure the website and the firm’s communications infrastructure.
- To comply with legal, regulatory, and record-keeping obligations.
4. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers under contract. We rely on a small set of vendors to operate the site and our communications: Vercel (web hosting and content delivery), Resend (transactional email delivery for contact-form submissions), and Cal.com (meeting scheduling). Each is bound by its own privacy and security obligations.
- Professional advisors. Our outside counsel, accountants, and auditors may receive information where necessary to advise the firm.
- Legal and regulatory requirements. We may disclose information when required by valid legal process, regulatory request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Project Wilbur, our clients, or others.
- Business transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or restructuring of the firm, information may be transferred to the successor subject to this policy.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as the business relationship requires and for the periods required by applicable record-keeping rules. As a firm operating in the capital markets, we are subject to record-keeping obligations comparable to those imposed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority on registered entities, which can extend several years past the end of an engagement. Server logs are retained for a much shorter period, typically thirty to ninety days, unless retained longer to investigate a specific incident.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct inaccurate information, to request deletion subject to our retention obligations, and to receive a portable copy of certain information. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the address below. We will verify your identity before acting on a request.
California residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the California Privacy Rights Act, California residents have additional rights including the right to know, the right to delete, the right to correct, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information. Project Wilbur does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. The disclosure “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” is therefore a statement of our practice rather than a feature you must enable.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Information sent through this site is encrypted in transit using industry-standard transport-layer security. No method of transmission or storage is one hundred percent secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International Transfers
Our website and the services it relies on are hosted in the United States. If you are visiting from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By submitting information through the site you consent to that transfer and processing.
9. Children
The site and our services are intended for adult professionals and are not directed to children under the age of eighteen. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the website for a reasonable period after they take effect. Please review this page periodically.
